Phuong Le Portrait
Phuong Nam Le
- Treasurer

Phuong grew up in a small village in central Vietnam. At a very young age, her mother taught her how to be a strong and independent individual. Throughout her childhood, she lived away from her family to attend the Province’s Advanced Language Art program in Hue City. She learned many lessons ranging from family to society, in both literature and lived experiences. These lessons positively influenced her problem-solving skills particularly at the elite Quoc Hoc High School, Hue University, and later when she migrated to the USA.

Phuong graduated from Kean University in New Jersey with a BS degree in accounting. She was hired to work for Chubb Insurance in New Jersey as a Global Financial System’s PeopleSoft programmer after a successful internship. She is now a Senior Technical Analyst, where she incorporates the skills learned in her childhood with her accounting knowledge to code, automate, and improve PeopleSoft financial system. In this role, despite completing multiple system upgrades and conversions, she still finds excitement each time her codes run successfully and produce the expected results.

Besides work, she is a happy wife of a thoughtful and caring husband and a devoted mother of two wonderful teenagers. She enjoys volunteering for her children’s school marching band activities, listening to music, watching food and travel YouTube channels, and admiring the beauty in all the flowers she encounters. Her most effective stress-reducing methods include tending to plants in her garden or going shopping (anywhere). Her personal goal is to expand her knowledge of the United States financial retirement, investment, and taxation system.
